Dosa is part and parcel of the South Indian diet and popular all over the Indian subcontinent. We are quite fond of savory stuff for breakfasts and so this got made for a rushed morning (pardon the pics, though). It goes well with any dip / chutney but delicious on its own as well. Grind them with cumin, asafoetida and green chillies to a fluffy batter, using the water in which they were soaked.

- Wash, clean and soak the rice and lentils for 2-4 hours..
- Then in a mixer jar take the soaked ingredients and all the other ingredients together. Add water and blend into a coarse batter. Transfer and rest it for 10 minutes..
- Heat a griddle and pour a ladle of the batter and spread into a circle. Cook on low flame until both sides are cooked and golden brown..
- Transfer to plate and serve hot with any of your favourite side dish. I love to have them as it is or with a little butter or curd..
- Notes: You can make them with even any one lentil or a combo of two. Adding green gram(moong)makes dosa soft and fluffy. If you like crisp dosa like me skip adding moong and urad dal..
