Sulaimani chai. Sulaimani tea is a spiced black tea without milk. This tea is brewed to a golden color with spices like cinnamon,cardamom,cloves,ginger with tea powder and finally a dash of lemon is added too. Why is it called Sulaimani tea?
Sulaimani Tea - Sulaimani Chai, a beautiful amber concoction of spices and tea is very simple to make at home. There is no milk added in this tea recipe and this is more like the Kattan Chaya or black tea. It is believed that the recipe was brought to India, the Malabar coast especially from Arab traders. You can have Sulaimani chai using 8 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you achieve that.
Ingredients of Sulaimani chai
- Prepare of black tea.
- You need of jaggery.
- You need of lemon.
- It's of clove.
- Prepare of green cardamom.
- Prepare of small cinnamon stick.
- Prepare of ginger slices.
- Prepare of water.
According to folklore, Sulaimani tea is believed to have Arab origins. It is said that Prophet Mohammed used to enjoy drinking a beverage called ghava with dates and black pepper (but no tea) added to it. With time, the Arabs inherited the tradition of drinking ghava but made some slight changes to the ancient recipe. Sulaimani Chai is one drink everyone will fall in love with.

- Heat the water in the tea pan.Add slices of ginger,clove n cinnamon stick to the pan n allow to boil.
- Add Black tea to the boiling water..
- Now add jaggery to the tea.Sqeeze the lemon to the tea..
