Ingredients of 6 grain khichdi (6 dhan khichdi)
- It's of orange lentils split (masoor dal).
- You need of blackgram lentils (urad daal).
- You need of split pigeon peas (toor daal).
- It's of yellow split peas (chana daal).
- It's of green split peas (moong daal chilkawali).
- It's of rice.
- Prepare of green beans.
- It's of carrots.
- It's of potato chopped.
- You need of peanut.
- You need of onion chopped.
- Prepare of tomato chopped.
- It's of turmeric powder.
- Prepare of red chilli powder.
- It's of garam masala.
- Prepare of garlic paste.
- You need of mustard seeds.
- You need of cumin seeds.
- It's of Fenugreek seeds.
- Prepare of oil/ ghee.
- It's of bay leaf.
- It's of cinnemon.
- You need of cloves.
- Prepare of Salt.
Anything else you want to add on top of it is totally up to you! In fact, there's an expression Hindi language, called 'khichdi pak gaya' (khichdi got cooked). Khichdi is an Indian staple food which is a blend of cooked lentils and rice seasoned with mild spices. It is an excellent way of eating more protein and balanced carbs which can very well aid your diet.

- In a one broad utensils mix all Dal's together & wash all them well...
- Now add all 6 grains in pressure cooker, now add potato, green peas, carrots & peanut in cooker & add turmeric powder & salt & mix all together well...
- Let it cook till the 4-5 whistle..And after 3-4 min take the pressure of the whistle....
- Now take one broad pan & add oil/ ghee, heat it..Now add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, Fenugreek seeds,bay leaf, cinnamon & cloves, & add pinch hing after it crackle......
- Now add chopped onion & salt, saute for 1 min, then add tomato saute for 1 min, now add all dry species & mix well...now add boiled grains in pan & mix all together well, cook it for 1 min...
- Now khichdi is ready to serve... You can serve it with pickle, buttermilk & papad....
